Tips for Autism or Speech Delay
Teach the book first by showing the child what to do on each page and how to use the choice boards to answer.
To control the difficulty, you can limit the number of choices offered.
For errorless learning, give the child the correct answer card to put in the book.
Use the vocabulary and point to the text and pictures while you are speaking.
 
Extension Activity Ideas:
Use the Book with your child's clothes! See if you can find the vocabulary in your house!
Use the Book with your child's toys! If you have dolls or Mr. Potato Head toys, match the vocabulary to the clothes and body parts.
*Doing this will extend the vocabulary lesson outside of the book and give extra practice naming or finding clothes!
