First Letter Sounds Alphabet Book is designed to teach Upper and Lower Case Letter Formulation, First Letter Sounds, Consonant Sounds, and Long + Short Vowel Sounds.
 
Alphabet Letters are used in the Beginning Position of Words (with the exception of 'x' which is shown at the end of the words since /ks/ does not start words in English).
 
Each word has a picture to build word recognition skills!!!

*Consonant pages are bordered in red and have the word "consonant" listed in the circle. Both Upper case and Lower case are practiced in isolation. Then apply the letter to words. Each has 6 common words with a space to write in the target letter in the initial position of the word. Letter X is used at the final position of words where it is most commonly seen.
 
*Vowel pages are bordered in green and have the word "vowel" listed in the circle. Both Upper case and Lower case are practiced in isolation. Then apply the letter to words. Each has 3 words beginning with the short sound and 3 words beginning with the long sound of the vowels.
 
Use the pages separately as Activity Mats OR Bind to create a Workbook with the Front Cover and Back Cover Provided.
 
Laminate the pages and use with a dry/wet erase marker for extended use!
